| Turbine Transition |
The Turbine Transition course is the perfect solution to make a great impression at a big job interview. Walk in with proficient knowledge of powerplant, aircraft and crew operation in a turbine powered aircraft, and be able to discuss operations intelligently with correct terminology!
This intensive 4-day course is a great introduction to the principles and differences between typical air carrier, bizjet, and turboprop operations. In this course you will learn the principles and differences between turbojets, fanjets and turboprops inclucing all of the leading powerplant manufacturers. You will practice crew operations for both Captain and First Officer functions, use of Standard Operating Procedures, Flight Profiles, and advanced navigation sytems including flying the Flight Director.
Included in this class is a full day of ground school, Crew Training and Cockpit Procedure Training in a turboprop Flight Training Device, a full motion simulator, and a Beech KingAir turboprop aircraft. By completion of the four-day course you will log a full day of groundschool, at least 6 hours of time in an approved FTD, 6 hours of time in a full motion simulator, 2 hours of actual flight time in a KingAir twin engine turboprop, receive 2 hours of additional observation time in the KingAir, and receive a certificate of proficiency.
Discounted prices are available to build additional time in either of the simulators or the aircraft after succcessful completion of the course. Prices for addition time in the full motion simulator is $187.50/hr per person with a crew of two and instructor provided, $85/hr per person in the FTD with a crew of two and instructor provided, and $450/hr plus fuel for the KingAir with instructor provided.
Recommended prerequisite for this course is a multiengine-instrument pilot rating.
