Attaining your private pilot certificate...
Will be one of the most fulfilling accomplishments you will achieve as an individual. This is the first step in your aviation future whether for personal pleasure or to pursue an aviation career. You and your Flight Instructor will work closely to achieve your goals by following our syllabus.
Learning to fly is rewarding. People from all walks-of-life are licensed pilots. There are more than 700,000 certificated pilots in the United States alone. Falcon Aero Services graduates many pilots each year.
Private Pilot Privileges or What can you do with it:
The private pilot certificate permits you to carry passengers on non-commercial flights, to fly anywhere you want, in good weather, during day or night. You may fly single-engine land airplanes. With additional training you can remove the restriction to fly only in good weather, to fly commercially and to fly multi-engine aircraft.
Course Eligibility:
No prior aviation experience required. Applicant must have reached their 17th birthday prior to graduation and have a minimum third class medical certificate. You must be able to read, understand and speak the English language.
Completion Requirements:
40 Hours Total Time of that at least 20 hours must be with a CFI and 10 hours must be solo time.
3 hours of cross-country dual flight training in a single-engine airplane.
3 hours of night flight training. One cross-country of at least 100 nautical miles. 10 takeoffs and landings to a full stop with each landing involving a flight in the traffic pattern.
3 Hours of instrument time.
10 hours of solo time consisting of at least 5 hours of cross-country time and one cross-country of at least 150 nautical miles total distance with a full-stop landings at a minimum of 3 points, and one segment of the flight consisting of a straight line distance of at least 50 nautical miles and three takeoffs and landings to a full stop at an airport with an operating control tower.
70% or Better Score on FAA Written Exam.
Successful Completion of the FAA Practical Test.

Estimated Cost & Time Frame:
The private pilot certificate will generally cost around $6,000 and will take from 3 weeks of full-time study to 6 months or longer if training part time. Stop in and visit the school to receive a complimentary tour, information and a complete cost breakdown.
